OSL

I'm back in Oslo. It feels amazing and surreal. I'm starting to outrun my exhaustion, but it's midnight so I really should sleep soon if I want to get anything done tomorrow - which I have to 'cause all of my favorite people are coming over to drink wine and talk shit.

Home, sweet home.

This is where I'll be living this summer, fully equipped with the mandatory crime shows on TV and a messy floor.

Taking time to write a short update

I'm not doing a whole lot these days, I don't know, I wish I was writing, but I don't have time to think about it. The last two weeks have been buuusyyy, but I still feel like I haven't done much. I've been working two jobs, in a transition period between my new and old job, but I'm done with my old one now so iz all good. And then I was working and hanging out at the Øya festival which was fun and tiring. I'm working full time in a kindergarten now, but it's completely new so all we're doing is plan stuff and buy stuff and hang out and decorate. It's fun.

I'm staying in Oslo for the rest of the year so if anyone nearby wants to do something sometime, let me know, I don't have a lot of stuff to do.

I envy all of you peoples who are going back to school or starting over at a new school or traveling all over. Enjoy it!

Err, right now (well, on Tuesday which was when I wrote this) Don Martin from Gatas Parlament is walking on the edge of the roof outside my window.

One month away

In celebration of me being ONE MONTH AWAY FROM GOING TO NEW YORK, I'm writing this entry. Have I already started a pattern? Hah. Nah, I just had some stuff to write and why not do it on a Sunday.

I got my embassy interview a lot later than planned, but I've been there and I'm pretty much done with it. I was there on Thursday and I haven't actually gotten my visa yet, but hopefully nothing will go wrong. I'm expecting it tomorrow or maybe on Tuesday.
The "interview" was very weird. I got there fifteen minutes before my appointment and I had to wait outside for like an hour. The security level there is very high, like on airports. When I finally got in to the security check I had to leave everything, you're only allowed to bring money, your passport and your visa applications with you inside. And when I got inside I had to wait another hour. For an "interview" that only lasted five minutes and was held in the same room you wait in.

It was okay though, not as scary as I thought. She just asked me what I'll be doing in the US and if I have any close family there and such. And now I'm done with it.

It was also the first real snow day. The day before I was whining about how I wanted snow to come, but that was before I knew I had to stand an hour outside in it. Nah, it was okay, I still love snow and it has hardly stopped snowing since. It's beautiful outside.
